Toastmasters

Kathy has been awarded her Distinguished Toastmaster Award from Toastmasters International. This involved giving 40 manual speeches, numerous training sessions, completing leadership assignments and serving as a District officer.

Kathy has been a Toastmaster since October 2005 when the Lake DeFuniak Club was forming. The club received its charter in February 2006, and she is one of 20 charter members. In June 2007, she joined the Crestview Toastmasters Club. In 2012, she was instrumental in forming the Panhandle Advanced Toastmasters club, which received its charter in April 2013.

In June 2012, Kathy and fellow Toastmaster Dianna Van Horn worked to start a new club in Panama City. That club chartered in October 2013.

She has held officer positions in all three local clubs, as well as positions in District 77.

Kathy was elected Distinguished Area 18 Governor…She recently stepped in as the interim Area 53 Governor
(February – June 2013).
